ORA-04031 in SLES9/Itanium with 9ir2 2006-05-04 - By jorgecab@(protected)
Hi, I installed recently oracle 9 with 9.2.0.7 patchset in an itanium SLES 9
server (thanks to the people in this list that helped me) and created a
database and populated it and everything was working well until the database
was getting a lot of requests and ORA-04031 (See ORA-04031.ora-code.com) error appeared with "large
pool","unknown object","session heap","trigger condition node"). I've been
looking in the web and in metalink and I've read that I should increment
"shared pool size", "java_pool_size", "db_cache_size" and "large_pool_size".
Using Oracle Enterprise Manager I can see the current values of this parameters
in the database but I can't change them there, I checked the file init.ora and
I can see only one of those fields (shared pool size) and it has a different
value than the one I see in OEM. Has anyone ran into this problem? where should
I change this values?
