Replies:
check the following configuration
 
your physical memory size,
32 or 64bit OS,
may consider using hugemem kernel instead of smp kernel in Linux,
 
before you make any changes in the database site.
 
You can try to flash your shared pool to see if this helps. (ALTER SYSTEM FLUSH SHARED_POOL; )

I am running Oracle 10 R2  on linux with automatic memory management and keep getting the following error :

ORA-04031: unable to

allocate 3888 bytes of shared memory ("shared pool","unknown object","sga

heap(1,0)","kglsim object batch"

Anyone else seen this?
